I can tell of one instance where a hiring company actually wrote a requisition for an internship film. They got about thirty young individuals to sign up for the project. In the course of the course, the intern film makers made a demo film and then submitted it for consideration to various companies. Needless to say, by the time they had their audition, most of the films and TV shows had already shot their material. The filmakers took a different approach from most of the other individuals that applied for the same internship. They actually went ahead and made a deal with the production company to become their internship film makers. They negotiated a deal that gave them their ideas and their time. In the film making course that I took part in, we all had to carry about 100 resumes, which were packed paper, to be distributed by the production company. We finished all of our scenes by the end of the semester, and it turned out that the papers that we were carrying had made 36 jotts of film. That was a lot of film to process, and it took us a lot of time. To put it into perspective for you, the scene for our film ended up being shot over 24 different hours of film. The next thing we were told to do was to go to local barbers shops, where we were told to go and stand outside and watch the haircut of the lead actors as they came in to get their hair cut. After the actors had come out to get their hair, we were told to go back to theproject room, where we would take their work and project it onto the project board. After the project had been completed, we were told to come back out to the sound stage and watch the back of the actors as they performed their scenes. At this point we would shoot the film, which was projected onto the screen, and then we would re- edit it, mix it and put it together on the computer. After this process was completed, we would format the film and play it back in order to finalize the project and send it to the distributors for distribution. Film Or Music Industries
